The Graze V.159: Unfurling

Dear Friends:

These spring days are magical. The fiddleheads are unfurling. The meadow is awash in a sweet green vibrancy. The woodfrogs and spring peepers sing love songs together. The weather shifts from frost to sweltering heat and back again. The invisible pull of migration and tide and the emerging new life brings hope.

In 1929, astronomer Edwin Hubble (1889-1953) published his findings that revealed the universe was expanding. It is easy to imagine that if the most significant frame of reference—the cosmos—is still unfolding, then maybe that is the pattern of everything. This ever-increasing expansion seems to mirror the increasing rate of change with each new technological and scientific breakthrough.

If this is true of the universe, it makes sense that it is true for us too. How is your understanding of yourself and the world around you vibrating with the green of spring? How is your heart unfurling to become ever more expansive? How might our focused attention on the sparkling stars and the unfurling fern create a new reality of hope?

May you feel and hear and smell and sing of the new life emerging around you,

🌱 Lisa+
