Our Staff

The Reverend Rachel Field
Farm Priest

Rachel comes to Mission Farm having spent most of her life in the tidal flats of the eastern shore of Maryland where the blue crabs and herons captivated her attention. That awe and fascination with the world led her to deeper questions about God, and eventually encouraged her to shape a life close to the land here in Vermont. Working alongside the land-community in Roxbury, she is engaging in regenerative agriculture and eco-spirituality with her husband, their dog Frodo, and their beloved milk cow Mocha.

The Reverend Lisa Ransom
Executive Director

Lisa grew up in the arms of the Rocky Mountains in Boulder Colorado and found her home here in the Green Mountains after seminary. She and her husband Scott worked together to build soil and care for the earth through a small business focused on soil health and compost. While they were building their business, Lisa served in a variety of capacities across the Episcopal Church in Vermont. She is an avid weaver and loves outdoor yoga followed by a cup of coffee.
